DMX512 Control Servo Actuator are compatible with DMX512 protocol. This protocol controls the movement of each LED screens separately for the application of 3D robotic advertisment billboard. Meanwhile, the DMX512 control console can directly control the speed, scale, adjust the screen size and so on.

Q1: How are the actuators addressed for the DMX network?
A1: There is a digital panel for setting comes along with the DMX512 motor and drive.
Q2: What voltage do they operate at? 24vdc? 110V AC60hz?
A2: They will operate at 24VDC.
Q3: How many DMX channels do they use?
A3: They use 4 channels for each actuator.
Q4: I need to know more about local IO control. In addition to limit switches inputs is there any others for e-stop,Override/local control?
A4: There are 7 digital input and 3 digital output. As for the hardware connector, among 7 digital inputs, limit switches use 2 ports(one used in the front, one used in the end). The rest 5 ports set manually to contorl direction: positive(+) and negative(-). stop to limit switch on the start and end.
Q5: What is the DMX profile? I know it’s 4 Channels. What are the values for each CH. I need the ability to give a DMX value to represent a position. For example 0-255 value (0 is fully retract and 255 is fully extend) .I want to give a value of 125 and have the actuator stop a little over half way extended. Is that how this unit works?
A5: Yes, you are right. That’s how this unit works so it don’t need to programe. If you need more complicated function, it need to be well programe for sure. Besides,we will supply this digital board . As a result, we can set the parameters for every unit of position value. We will set it before leaving the factory to make sure it will perfectly match with your stroke requirement.
Q6: Is there software to program the drive unit?
A6: As I said, your function can be easily realise. So you don’t need program.
Q7: Do you have cut sheets/diagrams for the drive unit, actuator, etc.

A8: Around 15 days.
Q9: How long of cables from the drive to the actuator?
A9: Normally, our default set are 3m. Please let me know if you need longer cable
Q10: How are the digital inputs programmed?I need manual control and safety ins and outs.

A10: At the same point, off=DMX control; on=manual contrl. When “on” for manual control, actuator speed can be set. After completing settings, the speed will be fixed and remain.
Also,You need to set DMX address as every equipment has its own address code.Speed setting is of the same way as setting the DMX address.(change PP04 to PP06). We will provide you an instruction manual by then. Like your requirement in your last email, values for every stroke position can be easily made it by DMX512 control.
What’s more,we have a funtion for manual setting. One contact for manually control its forward direction; Another one contact for manually control its backwards direction; As for the distance of moving, it depends on you.And the speed will be set in ahead. If so, there is no need for our engineer changing the program.
