UNI Electric Servo Cylinder inner structure
Function: Ball Screw type actuator/cylinder changes the rotation of motor into linear motion of piston rod. And then the robust piston rod actuate the load reciprocating.
Main Component Parts:
- Motor: As we all know, motor provides machines power. Here we have various options for motor, like servo motor,stepper motor,DC motor. Among them,servo motor are widely used. Because many control ways are available like Pulse,Can Open,Ethercat,DMX512,etc… So that you can do the positioning control or speed control. Sometimes, gearbox will be mounted as well for the purpose of lower the speed,higher the supported load.
- Screw: Normally, UNI actuators use ball screw or lead screw. Lead screw is of lower Transmission efficiency and +-0.1mm repeatability accurcy. But lead screw has self-lock funtion, which can replace motor magnetic brake. As for ball screw, it can reach +-0.02mm repeatability accuracy.
- Anti-rotation guide here are used as well. But we don’t add it for 6DOF actuator aiming to make actuator rotate more freely and have bigger rotate angle.
- The internal magnetic ring mechanism works together with external sensor switches of the electric Cylinder as a complete position feedback device and limits the reciprocating max and min positions. We can custom mid-position sense place if requested.
- A pair of high-strength tapered roller bearings are equipped inside, which meet applications requiring equivalent push and pull force;Normally, our engineer will leave twice even triple safety margin when choosing bearings.
- Sealed with oil-proof and dust-proof ring, prevents dusts from getting inside and keep the lubrication grease from leaking.Before sending out the order to our client, we will strictly test and work out a test report for our client.
- Coupling/timing pulley structures: while the servo motor rotates, the ball screw or trapezoidal screw is rotated by the transmission mechanism by timing pulley or coupling. For Inline type actuator, we use coupling to connect the motor shaft and screw to sychronize the motion. Inline type is of lower noise and maintain-free. As for parallel actuator, timing pulley and timing belt are equiped to achieve decelerate or accelerate of movement.
